As part of the major redevelopment of Bilston Markets, a bespoke Hostile Vehicle Mitigation (HVM) solution was required to improve perimeter security by preventing unauthorised vehicle access, while complementing the newly enhanced appearance.
Engaged at a late stage in the project, Hill & Smith Infrastructure were contacted to deliver a security-rated Swing Gate within an accelerated timeframe to support the programme and avoid delays to the wider redevelopment works. A tailored HVM solution was specified, designed and delivered to meet both operational and aesthetic requirements.
Through proactive collaboration, efficient project management and an agile procurement process, the solution was delivered within just six weeks; significantly faster than standard lead times, despite requiring a specific gold paint finish to integrate seamlessly with the surrounding environment.
